Mclaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton clinched the Singapore Grand Prix held in Marina Bay on Sunday. Having earned the pole position last night, Hamilton was able to finish of the 61 lap race in style with 1:56:06:337s. Germany’s Timo Glock who started at seventh position was able to finish the race with +9.6s behind Hamilton. Timo Glock’s second finish equaled the Toyota’s best ever F1 race result. Fernando Alonso who ensured French team’s first podium finish of the season occupied third position. Sebestian Vettel, who grabbed second pole position, was able to finish at fourth spot after being ruined his race with pit lane speeding penalty. Brawn Mercedes driver Jenson Button was able to get 4 points as he finished fifth. Jenson finished ahead of his Championship rival and his Brawn team mate Rubens Barrichello. Red Bull driver Mark Webber who was at fourth position at early stage of the race had a brake failure in the crucial stage of the race which made him quit the race on 45th lap.
In the driver standings, Jenson Button sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 84 points followed by his teammate Rubens Barrichello with 69 points. Sebestain Vettel remains at third spot with 59 points with Mark Webber on fourth position with 51.5 points. With only three more races to go on, exciting clash for the F1 Championship is on the cards

Saina Nehwal, Indian born badminton player, one of those rising star in the World badminton. She is currently ranked number eighth in World Badminton Federation and many experts do believe that Nehwal has all the ability to break into the top five ranking list sooner. At the age of eight, Saina Nehwal started playing Badminton, well supported by her father. After few years, Saina won the Asian Satellite tournament twice, becoming the first Indian to do so. Her ability, hard work and determination made her enter into the international stage at the age of 16. Then she won the Philippines open, first Indian women to win this tournament. She entered into the series as the 86th seed and she went onto beat several top seeded players and clinch the title. In the same year, she had a great run in the BWF World Junior title and eventually she ended up as a runner with a hard fought match against top seed Wang Yihan. In the year 2008, she won World Junior Badminton championship and she managed to reach the quarterfinals in the Beijing Olympics 2008. One of the dreams of the Saina came through in the year 2009 as she won her first Super Series title by cinching the Indonesian Open and become the first Indian to achieve this feat. With many more years to come, Saina Nehwal could be a great threat to those top seeded players.

Yelena Isinbayeva, Russian pole vaulter, aged 27, who is considered as the world’s best female pole vaulter. She has set amazing records in pole vault history as she was the first women to clear 5.00 meter barrier. Every time when she features in a major tournament she used to set a record (currently 27 times) and break that record in the next tournament. Yelena Gadzhievna Isinbayeva has won nine times major champion title which none of the women has achieved, which include two times consecutive gold medals in Olympics (2004 and 2008) and two world championship gold medals. This great athlete started of her career as a gymnast in her hometown at the age of 5 to 15, after then she turned her attention towards pole vault. Her commitment and hard work in the pole vault made her win the World Youth Games at the age of 16 to clear the height of 4.00 m. Then in the next year she broke her previous record and cleared 4.10 m and claims her second gold medal in World Youth Championship. Then she started improving her game as he finally broke the record of clearing 5.00 m in European Indoor Championship in 2005, which none of the women pole vaulter has ever achieved. In 2009 IAAF Golden League, she set world record of 5.06 m beating her previous record of 5.05 m and she is still hungry to set many records.

Juan Martin del Porto shattered the dreams Roger Federer getting his sixth US Open title in a row and clinched US open 2009 at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The current World no: 1 could not find out a way to stop Argentinean player from pounding forehand after forehand past him. The five times US Open Champion made 11 double faults which cost the match for him. The match provided an absolute entertainer for the crowd as Porto took nearly four hours and six minutes to get rid of Federer. The 20 year old sixth seed made Federer to sweat and it took five sets for him to clinch title. Second set turned out to be the crucial part of the match, with del Porto saving two set points with Federer having upper hand of 5-4 and he played his heart out to win the tie break. Porto lost the third set in the same way as the first set. However the 6 foot- 6 inches del Porto came back strongly against him in the last two sets and clinched his first Grand Slam title with 3-6,7-6(5),4-6,7-6(4),6-2. He was the second Argentinean to clinch the title after Guillermo Vilas in 1977. He was the only player next to Rafael Nadal to beat him in the finals.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan, an American professional basketball player who is considered as the greatest player of all time in NBA history. He was nicknamed Air Jordan for his ability to slam dunk from free throw line which he does with his trademark style of exposed tongue. Jordan although considered as shooting guard was also well known for his best defensive play and a good rebounder.He has the reputation of changing the course of the game in the last second plays. 
He started of his career playing for Chicago Bulls (1984-93)(1995-98). As his career progressed Jordan developed using fadeaway jump shot which made him nearly unstoppable from scoring. Then he signed contract with Washington Wizards (2001-03) and then he retired from NBA. During his career he earned 32,292 points with amazing 6,672 rebounds. He was named 6 times NBA champion and has won 10 NBA scoring titles and was also named best defensive player. He also won two Olympic gold medals (1984 and 1992) and was ranked number one player by SLAM Magazine, ESPN Sports century and NBA history. His game mode, ability, statistics, awards and honors suggests that no other player until now in NBA is better than this 6’6 inches Michael Jordan.
